Rivayaat™ is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone — including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We believe that access to clean, clinically formulated hair care should not be limited by barriers on our website, and we are actively working to make our digital experience as inclusive as possible.

What We Have Done

As a small, founder-led brand, we are transparent about where we are in our accessibility journey. Steps we have taken or are actively implementing include:

Descriptive alt text on product images and key visual content so screen readers can communicate image context to visually impaired users.
Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds throughout the site to improve legibility.
Clear, consistent page structure using proper heading hierarchy to support screen reader navigation.
Descriptive link text (avoiding vague labels like "click here") throughout our copy.
Keyboard-navigable site structure where possible within our Shopify theme.

What We Are Still Working On

We are a small, independently run brand and our accessibility work is ongoing. Areas we are actively improving include:

Ensuring all video content (including Instagram embeds and UGC) includes captions or transcripts where possible.
Further improving keyboard navigation across all interactive elements.
Reviewing third-party apps and tools embedded on our site (such as our reviews widget, loyalty program, and subscription tool) for their own accessibility compliance.
Ongoing auditing of new content as our site grows.

We acknowledge that not every part of our site may currently meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, and we are committed to continuous improvement.

Third-Party Tools

Our website uses a number of third-party tools and applications including our reviews platform, loyalty program, subscription service, and affiliate management system. While we select partners with care, we do not have full control over the accessibility of third-party content. We encourage our partners to meet accessibility standards and will raise accessibility concerns with them as needed.
